This is the PICS Rating File - GeneralAudiences.rat:
((PICS-version 1.0)
(rating-system "http://www.GeneralAudiences.com/")
(rating-service "http://www.GeneralAudiences.com/")
(name "GeneralAudiences")
(description "GeneralAudiences.com supports PICS as a tool which enables
parents to make the internet a safer place for their children to explore.
GeneralAudiences has only the ratings of K, G, and A because it does not
support the use of PICS as a tool of censorship by any individual,
corporatation, or government agency.
Sites rated (A) in this system correspond an RSACi rating of
(Violence:1,Sex:1,Nudity:1,Language:1) or higher.
It is generally understoood that the vast majority of useful and
important content on the internet is presented with level 0 of
violence, sex, nudity, and language.
GeneralAudiences.com agrees that there are also many valuable sites that can't
claim a level 0 in all categories, and suggests that these rare sites can be
enabled for the younger viewer on an individual and possibly supervised basis.
Keep in mind that web sites are self-rated by the author of the pages, and parents
rely on the integrity of the author to give his or her pages the appropriate rating.")

This is how it would work:
Cut and paste the text of the PICS Rating File (shown above)
into a text file called GeneralAudiences.rat and save it in your
\Windows\System directory.
In Internet Explorer:
Select Tools - Internet Options - Content - Settings
Enter your password then select General - Rating Systems - Add
Browse to your \Windows\System directory and Open GeneralAudiences.rat
Click OK until you are back at Content Advisor and select Ratings
Select GeneralAudiences - Audience and adjust your settings below
Select OK until you have exited the Tools menu
Web Page Authors:
Put a META TAG similar to the following in the header of your web pages:
<Meta http-equiv="PICS-Label"
Content='(PICS-1.1 "http://www.GeneralAudiences.com/index.html" l gen true
comment "GeneralAudiences.com supports PICS for parental guidance only!"
for "http://www.yourdomain.com" on "2002.04.18T14:30-0800" r (a 1))'>
You need to change a few things in the line above to make it applicable to your page:
1. Obviously, you will change "http://www.yourdomain.com" to the URL of your web page.
2. You can change the "2002.04.18T14:30-0800" to match the date and time of your edit.
2002.04.18T14:30 is April 18, 2002 at 2:30PM
The -800 is the time zone for PST (8 hours behind GMT). Use -500 For EST, etc...
3. Finally, change the rating, if needed, to describe your content:
r (a 0) = specifically for kids.
r (a 1) = safe for kids, even when unsupervised.
r (a 2) = not for unsupervised kids.
That's it! The GeneralAudiences.com rating system is for and about kids ONLY!
Again, GeneralAudiences.com agrees that there are many valuable sites that can't claim a
level 0 in all categories. These rare sites can be enabled for younger viewers on an
individual and possibly supervised basis.
